Air Bags for Rear Suspension?

RAM 1997 2500 with factory tow pkg...

What do yo guys use? Need some addt'l support when towing.

Something inexpensive, don't need on-board compressor. I'll just fill them up in the garage before I tow. Thanks.

OR adjustable Air Shocks?

air bags are the way to go, leave the air shocks for the camaro guys.... :D

the on board compressor isn't that much more and is pretty handy for adjusting the ride after your load/weight has changed...

There are so many threads on here I can't even count them.

Search on Air Bags; Air Lift, Firestone Ride-Right

The Firestone Ride-Right system (not sure of spelling) and the Air-Lift 1000 System are fairly equal in quality. Definately get them installed with the ability to adjust pressure in each side. (So you don't have to worry about load shift from bag to bag when filled with one fitting.) I am on my second set of Air-Lift 1000s, and won't own another truck with out them. The on board compressor is not neccesary, but it is a nice accessory, and you can rig it all together with air horns if done properly. :D

When I had my ram 1500 I got air bags from NAPA. I think they were about 350 but worked great.

I got the Firestone bags with the onboard compressor from Summit Racing and it was something like $400. Don't think I could ever do without 'em. The onboard compressor is sweet as the ride can be adjusted on the fly without having to pull over and find a gas station with air and try to get in and out of there. Just my $0.02.
