'04 Silverado Creaks
Anyone experience (and solved?) creaks from the driver-side floor pan (2wd 1500 Extended Cab). Dealership claims it is a door hinge but it is seems more body/floor flex!?! Any thoughts??
I knew someone who had a '96 3500 2wd Crew Cab, with a similar noise, but that truck had over 200K miles on it.....my truck has less than 50K miles!?!

Re: '04 Silverado Creaks
I had a 1989 Blazer that started making a similar noise around 30K miles. It only made the popping noise when turning the steering wheel. The dealer found that the frame had cracked around the bolt holes where the steering box bolts to the frame. Evidently this was a common problem because they seemed to know what it was right away when I explained the noise. They had a part in stock to fix it. It was a plate that was shaped to fit the curves and angles on the inside of the frame rail. I am guessing that it was a fix from GM because they were able to show me the part the day that I took the truck in to get it looked at. They welded this in, reinstalled the steering box and noise was gone and never came back.
I also had a 1996 F-250 that did the same thing starting around 10K miles. Again, this truck only made the noise when turning the steering wheel so they were able to get under the truck while turning the wheel to look for the problem. We went round and round with it and the dealer could not figure it out. Finally they had a Ford rep come in and between them they figured out that it was one of the crossmembers between the frame rails making the noise. Evidently the rivets holding it in place were not as tight as they should be and this allowed it to make popping noises against the frame rail. The noise seemed to come from directly under the driver's floor pan. Their fix was to replace the rivets with bolts. This fixed the noise and I never had any more problems with it.
I don't know if this helps or not, but it may be worth looking in these areas for your problem. On the other hand, I think that my problems were self inflicted and caused by lift kits and big tires. The Blazer was lifted 11 inches (8" springs and 3" body) and had 39X18.50x15 tires. On the F-250 I got rid of the IFS in the front and swaped in a solid axle. Then I added 4" of lift and installed 35x14.50x16.5 tires. Luckily the dealers around here don't care about that kind of stuff and will still honor warranty work! I don't have a picture of the Blazer on this computer, but here is the F-250.

Have someone look at front torsion bars where they go through bushings and re-lube. Special grease, I think. Had this on my 00Tahoe. Dealer did under warranty

My wifes Yukon had a Gawd awful creek...that WAS the lower door hinge. It was quiet to open and close but going down the road it was bordrline embarrassing. She swore it was something in the door.
A little WD40 did the trick

If you have factory nerf bars, 90% of them rub the body mount pocket on the frame....metal on metal! I like to have never figured it out on my 2005 GMC!
