I can't speak for where you live, but here in california the scales don't make you stop as long as there is a factory pick up bed on the chassis. Yes it was a two wheel drive. Out here nobody puts a horse bed on the back

I want opinions on this truck....i know it needs air ride for 7 gs front and back......i hear alot of very mixed comments about this truck ...my friend who i grew up with owns a large truck repair shop and cursed me and called it junk.....said they have a ton of issues and are always giving issues....but nothing makes him real happy except international.....what do you guys say about it...????

YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE NECESSITY OF THE AIR RIDE FRONT AND REAR. THE DURAMAX IS FINE FROM 2004 TO CURRENT AS THE FUEL RAIL PROBLEMS WERE FIXED AND THE ALLISON TRANSMISSION IS STRONG. THE TOPKICKS ARE A MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK AND EVERYONE WOULD BENEFIT FROM DRIVING ONE A FEW THOUSAND MILES TO GET THEIR EXPECTATIONS IN LINE WITH THE INTENDED USE AND PURPOSE THAT THESE TRUCKS WERE BUILT - A TOW VEHICLE. THEY DO NOT RIDE LIKE SUBURBANS OR F-250'S. THEY ARE NOT GOOD TO RUN TO THE GROCERY STORE AND PARK UP FRONT BETWEEN SOME PU**Y IN A HONDA RIDGEWHATEVER OR TOYOTA RAV4. THEY ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOUR WIFE TO DRIVE... THEY ARE DEFINITELY EXCELLENT TOW VEHICLES AND ARE SAFER THAN ANY 3500 OR F-350 WHEN YOU HAVE A HEAVY LOAD. THESE ARE A 17,500 GVW VEHICLE WITH "REAL PARTS" IN THE BRAKING SYSTEMS. THEY ARE AN UNBELIEVABLE CONVERSATION STARTER AT ANY AND ALL STOPS. THEY ARE HALF THE PRICE OF F-650 SUPERTRUCKS, FREIHTLINERS, STERLING ACTERRA'S. ETC......I ENJOY DRIVING MY TRUCK EVERYTIME OUT, BUT IT DOES HAVE THE LIMITATIONS DISCUSSED EARLIER. HOWEVER, WHEN I SEE THAT BIG SON OF A BI**H IN THE DRIVEWAY AS MY NEIGHBOR PULLS OUT IN HIS TOYOTA PREVIA IT PUTS A HUGE SMILE ON FACE!

what is the ride difference after the air ride....do you know?????

Good.. info.....the kersherw air ride guys..sp....they say they have done a few...like 5 in 4x4 only...they said it makes them ride like a f 150....so if i can get it even close to that.....anything besides....a army truck....it is insane that GMC would even let this rig go to street....shame for them...cause the rest of the truck underneath and drive line is straight up silly

i got in touch with Chariot..the warranty on there conversion is 3 years 36,000 miles and are sending me a new wood grain kit. said will take 2-3 weeks to receive the kit and the old damaged kit has to be returned to them.
