Reminds me of some people I talk to that swear import cars are gods gifts and run forever. I used to work as a tech at a import shop. When you work on them 8 hours a day, you see plenty of hondas, toyotas, and nissans rolling in with blown trannies, bad distributors, head gaskets, etc.

Im not suggesting that the 6.0 is by any means better than any of the other new diesels, but I have several friends who own them, and have had good luck with them. It seems most of the problems were in the 03 models. If I were truck shopping, I would not be afraid to buy a 05/06 6.0 truck. I would stay away from the 03 models, becasue they did have bugs that were not worked out. The early 7.3 wasnt too hot of a diesel when it came out years ago. But after they worked some bugs out, it turned into a great engine.

HOw about we all just stop arguing and we all buy a Duramax LBZ? Then you won't be arguing over who has more power because you all have the most power offered. Or you can all stop arguing about how fast your truck is because then you would all have the fastest truck offered. Or because you won't have to go to the dealership or ever worry about your engine/tranny again? WOuldn't life just be so much simpler if everybody had a Duramax?

ps, why does it seem that the LB7 Duramax doesn't even have/use it's turbo?

The 1 03 I had was rough but got straintened out. The 2 04's were much better and the 3 05's didnt have a problem. The 2-06's have been great to date. The new GM I got last week is definatly more powerful, and quieter but not that much more for the 360/660 as suggested. I know its not broken in and will only get better in time. The only problem I have with GM is their suspensons are geared towards more Light duty vs heavy duty on the Ford's. We buy 2-4 trucks every year, and then spin them off to our sub-contractors or trade them in. Jeff
