It's funny how Rover's have been known for their offroad capability, but you wouldn't catch me dead wheeling one of those things. A bit too much money to be taking off road IMO.
The only "off roading" will be the 1.0 mile dirt road to my camp. Not really off roading as a taurus can make it up there easily in the summer. The winter is different...

That's a nice looking Rover, it depends on the gear set for the Tahoe, since my Dad just bought a 2007.

Tahoe (2WD)
6,200 3.42
7,500 3.73

Tahoe (4x4)
6,700 3.73
8,200 4.10

That info is from the chevrolet website.

They must have increased the tow ratings on the 2007 Tahoe. The numbers that I posted were from the 2007 Tahoe brochure.

hmmm, interesting, the newest brochure I got from Jon Hall Chevy 2 weekends ago shows 6700 for 3.73's and 7700 for 4.10's in a 4wd application, 8200 towing is a pretty big number for a vehicle that only weighs 5500#, I test drove 3 of them, and you cannot tell when it kicks out the odd cylinders for better mileage, I thought it was a nice rig, I just can't get over the Trailblazer on steriods styling, the Yukon looks real nice IMO. I have seen 4 of the new '07 Caddy Escalades this past weekend alone, they look pretty darn good too.

Nice rig.

Love the color.

Whatever the tow rating I'm sure it can pull your ride and that's all that counts.

How much pulling a year do you do again? About 700' a year if I remember right...

Normally about 8 miles per year. With new boat might do a little more with it easier to deal with by myself and I can also pull it out in Shelburne where I couldn't do it before.

no comparison from a Tahoe and a late model Rover

The Rover is a all wheel drive 6000 pound tank. You should be very happy towing a Fountain with it

BTW have the dealership hook up the wiring kit for the trailer, Rovers are big computers, you just don't go cutting into wires. Tom

Tom - I am scheduled to have the local dealership do exactly that later in the week. Dave.

I sat in Powerguy's rig yesterday and I can't get over the leg, head, and all other room... Totally different than the Discovery. At 6'5, 175lbs , I'm usually uncomfortable in rigs like this... Very surprised.

Beautiful rig Dave.
