I don't have the luxury of owning an M-5, but I can drive one quite often. I work/manage at a BMW dealer and we also sell all brands of luxury used cars.

I will snap a few pics when I get a chance. i wish I had some video with sound. That V-10 engine is awesome sounding.

I don't think so! According to Motor Trend Magazine, the E55 is faster.

M5 --- HP (505) TQ (364)
E55 -- HP (469) TQ (516)

E55 AMG-- 469 HP supercharged V-8
CL55 AMG--493 HP supercharged V-8
SL55 AMG-- 510 HP supercharged V-8
SL55 AMG-- 510 HP supercharged V-8

and THE KING....
SL65 AMG 604 HP (738 lb-ft) twin-turbocharged V-12

Although I like both, my personal opinion is that BMW doesn't have anything on the AMG Mercedes. BMW does NOT have an answer for the AMG 604HP monster. I have been in one and it is absolutely brutal and neck snapping to say the least.
