Don't get too comfortable. Proper equipment or not, you could still easily kill someone with it. And that smug feeling might make you complacent, and more dangerous than me.

And it's not a matter of being a cheapskate, it's a matter of having the money to spend, or the credit. I've been pouring money into my boat, trailer and truck all winter to make it as safe as possible. Middle of last summer that wasn't an option because i was pouring money into a blown motor and $3 a gallon gas. Not everyone here can afford a $300k boat and a $50k truck.

My opinion: convert your Myco to electric over hydraulic brakes [$1200 tops} buy a 06 Chev/GMC 3500 Crewcab Dually 4X4 LBZ H.O. Duramax/Allison, Install a Drawtite Activator II brake controller[compatable with new brake system] install Putnam 15k hitch with appropiate ball , weight distributing reciever and your done

Translation: Just drop another 60 grand, no biggie.

Not to be a troublemaker, if he can afford it that sounds like a plan. But that sure ain't cheap.

The steel Myco is better than the Aluminum Myco? Less weight vs more rigidity?

yea, right.

Boating is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.

So many people on this board have way too much money. Just because i'm not loaded doesn't mean i'm not good enough to boat.
