That can also be said about the boats everyone here has too! There are 1100 boats for sale in the classified right now and every owner is sooner or later going to trade up. As far as most people having money, diesel trucks are just a better investment over their gas counterparts so even if you aren't rich it is a much smarter move to buy and run the diesel.

Semper Fi is my hero! I love your analogy. I think pu$$y is why we all do everything we do anyway, why not make that the basis for every argument.

How about putting in a timer in it so that after you park it and turn the key off you can have it run and shut down(like a turbo timer) and a preset time?

First off, I agree that short jonts are not the best for diesels. It will have an effect on their longevity.

With that said, I still use mine ALL the time for errands and such. I really don't like driving anything other than a truck. I have had many diesels. D Max. PSD and Cummins. My 02 is that if I am going to drive something it will be what I like. The diesel, driven on short trips and such will still give you MANY trouble free miles. Take a look at all the contractors and service industry vehicles that are diesel. Many are driven by people who couldn't care less about the vehicles longevity. Start and stop all day long.

Again, I am not refuting what anyone has said. All points are valid and with merit.
