Are very short trips bad for diesels? Help.

Diesels also hold alot better value,I have a 94 ext cab 4x4 turbo and with 210,000 miles and nice shape it books for 8000.00 Not bad.

First off, I agree that short jonts are not the best for diesels. It will have an effect on their longevity.
With that said, I still use mine ALL the time for errands and such. I really don't like driving anything other than a truck. I have had many diesels. D Max. PSD and Cummins. My 02 is that if I am going to drive something it will be what I like. The diesel, driven on short trips and such will still give you MANY trouble free miles. Take a look at all the contractors and service industry vehicles that are diesel. Many are driven by people who couldn't care less about the vehicles longevity. Start and stop all day long.
Again, I am not refuting what anyone has said. All points are valid and with merit.
