Re: new sticker on desel pump

If you have a Class A truck with after treatment products (Some 2001 through 2006 and all 2007 or newer) be careful with any additives that you are adding to your fuel. These chemical once burned can react with the DOC (Diesel oxidation catalyst) or DPF (Diesel particulate filter) casuing a reaction that will plug these products. This can be very costly and lead to down time.

Here is a link to alot of good info about the new products going on diesel trucks.

Thats correct, even the most amateur trash can version of biodiesel can get by in the warmer months, but if it gets cold, that back yard version of biodiesel will clump. A few companies (smaller) are researching biodiesel, but its too expensive for most to get into the game, the big guys like procter and gamble who have the experience with the palm oils used to make a refinery based biodiesel, are making too much converting the palm into soaps and detergent to limit their feedstocks by making biodiesel, the smaller companies involved right now are using skid mounted units to produce biodiesel, and its not going so well for them. Pretty soon some one with the correct knowledge wil get the government grant, instead of ma and paw clampett, who are currently getting the 1-40million dollar grants to make trash can punch. When that happenns, you will see an explosion of the biodiesel market. The european countries are already using a 2% if not more biodiesel mix in their diesel fuel.
