Ran out to get some stuff for lunch and had no power peddle to the floor, power slowly comes back after a pretty large cloud of black smoke appears out the back, looks pretty expensive, injector maybe, hoping that dealer despite asking them forgot to change fuel filter's, air cleaner was done by me last week........ 6.0 PSD Excursion....

Good chance it's just a stuck EGR. No guarantees but it's a common problem with the 6.0. Exact thing happened to me

I'll replace EGR latter today, I hate my towns Ford dealer and attempt to avoid seeing them when possible.

Did a search to see the location, thinking while replacing the air filter could have popped off lots of thing's..... :D

I'm convinced Ford hired Satan to design more than just the air filter for the 6.0 PSD. :evilb:

Did some re-search on the net seems the 6.0 PSD has a problem with the EGR and common recomendation is to disconnect it........ Gonna try that first and go down the list..... thanks guy's Seems Jaguar is rubbing off on Ford....:evilb: :drink:

My EGR plug fell off a long time ago. If I knew where it was I may reattach it, but the funny thing is that it runs a lot better.

;)

Ford has a new ECM flash for the 6.0 for cold condition stumbling & low power. It basically disables the EGR until the engine warms up. You may want to get a reflash.

If you intend to disconnect it, you can probably clean the pintle and reinstall it. May need a new gasket.

Had the flash a couple of months ago when the notice first appeared. Try and do every service and recall notice cause I pile on miles, so nice to have full service history when time to sell. Will be two years old in Aug, bought with 9 miles showing when picked up, today its just over 120K.......

Just waiting for time to disconnect...........

My service guy at the dealer said clean or disconnect and if you clean expect to do it again, gunks up every 11K or so..... :(
