I just returned from the Ozarks to the Chicago area and experienced two blowouts with my Goodyear Marathon trailer tires. Granted, they are 5 years old and that may be the only problem, but I wondered if anybody could recommend a good trailer tire to replace all of mine. I have a triple axle Loadmaster trailer and I tow a 2001 35' Fountain. The tires are 225/75 R15.

Look up on the net about good year marathons and they are JUNK!! goodyears has the name and nothing else!!
Go with Denmans radials www.denmantire.com
Do some research and you will find out that all of the guys in the southwest (hot conditions) are using deamans,
Trailer tires are to be replaced every four years, they are not like a car tire, the tread can look great, the sidewall on trailer tires take the beating, no suspension and backing take a toll on the side walls.
Just got back with the family from LOTO, 1000 miles @ 75mph with the cruise on 05 ex 6.0 chipped, 6 deamans on the eagle trailer, 302 BAJA weight 10,000(fully loaded)
no problems!!

Fountainboy,
I see you are from the Chicago area also, Where do you Boat?
I have added a link to where you can get tires in our area,
www.pompstire.com
Longevity of a tire also depends on how much weight you tow, How fast you tow and how far you tow.
If you tow only a few miles to get to water, your tires will last a lot longer than if you tow to LOTO a couple times per year.

I boat on the chain and LOTO twice a year. I have a house on the Pistakee, so I only do the trailer thing on Memorial Day and the ShootOut.
I'll check out the tires that you mentioned.
Thanks!

My business partner has a house on the channel across from Famous Freddie's, My boat was up there in his slip for the last 3 weeks, I pulled it home this weekend and went boating on the Illinois river out of Seneca.
I have a White & Red 302 BAJA " Size Matters"
What is the name of your boat?
Will you be going to the River Shiver run ? If so I see you there.

No name on the boat as of yet, can't think of a good one!
It's a 2001 35' Fountain with a black and white checkered interior....very hard to miss!
I am planning on going on the river shiver so I'll see you there.
