I got mine from American Force out of florida. They were $4,300 shiped to Northern IL. Ive put about 2000 miles on the 22's and the spedo is off about 6 or 7 miles an hour and rides about the same as stock.

You said it, forget the 22.5's on the 350 and get the bigger truck.I was going to do the same on my F-450 and went the same way your thinking, bigger is better....get the 650 or the Int cxt

Try www.innovativediesel.com ask for eric, it is the best tuner for the Ford products. It's a hand held unit that plugs under the dash, 3 tunes are available and can be custom tuned to what ever your gear ratio or tire swap has been changed to. This tune also controls the shifting, precisely. My 07 350 is turning 14.08 presently and I'm still dialing it in, still need to get a cold air intake. My 06 f250's were turning 13.71. Jeff

my buddy used his as a work truck and just stays on top of the maintenance.. you are just pulling a boat once and a while its no big deal..just stay up on your maint....

350 is too small for what you need
450 is good
550 is better
650 the best

the good thing about a 450 or 550 you can still drive like a pickup and the breaks and the rears are much bigger than the 350.. 450 or a 550 with 22s is trick and you still will be safe..

be careful who you listen to with all this on this board, many around here think its ol to tow a 8000lb rig with a 250... too many wrong answers around here...

I've been in the trucking and construction industry all my life I didn't become succesful in my buissness listening to idiots. I haven't towed the OL with this truck and don't plan to. I do tow my 36' with it and it works fine. I mostly just like the look of the big rubber but I don't want to upset the usability or confort level.

I just did the 22.5 conversion last week, went through 4 steel inners before I came up with 2 good ones, I used Alcoa rims & Michelin XZE 255/70r22.5s just made a thousand mile round trip from Orlando to Myrtle Beach and back with them on the truck(06 F350 shortbed 4x4 dually with a 2 1/2" leveling kit) the pluses are,, improved fuel mileage, improved looks no tire rub, now the minuses,,excessive road feel(even after lowering tire pressures) minor vibration issues(still working on balance issues), somewhat harsher ride, and somewhat diminished braking capabilities....If I can find someone to buy the setup, I'm going to direct bolt on 19.5s..Just my personal observations. Nick
