Best Oil To Use In A Diesel
What type of oil is everybody using in there diesels? This is my first time owning a diesel I have a 2004 F 350 Harley Davidson.I changed both fuel filters & oil filter I used Mobil Delvac 1300 15w-40 is this good oil ?

Shell Rotella 15w-40 from Wal-Mart by the gallon and Napa/Wix Gold filters.
The Shell Rotella is pretty much religious for many diesel owners, and the Napa/Wix Racing filters are the best on the market (mine and many others opinions).

the Delvac is a top quality diesel oil also. I use it myself, with a wix filter of course. 
You see alot of blue jugs at truck stops...Chevron Delvac 1300.
I change mine every 5-7K max. A change is cheap ins. and easy to do. There is no way, diesel or not, I'm running oil for 10K miles.

I use Amsoil Full synthetic 15w-40 Diesel and Marine oil in my 2004 F-350 6.0 Diesel. Also use Ford filters. Never had a problem oil related and use it as a commercial hauler.

it could have been run at least another 5k under the same conditions.

oil pressure relief valve
Anti Drain back valve keeps dirty oil in the filter when engine is not running.

Amsoil series 3000 5w-30 heavy duty diesel, and Amsoil filters,
sold on all their stuff, just bought the whole neighborhood (6 boats) Amsoil 15w-40 marine/diesel for winterizing.
