I used to work with Phil Hill at "Hill and Vaughn" about 15 years ago...He had sold the company years before, but still had a work bay there to work on his own cars. He's a funny guy. He had lots of stories about racing in the old days. I helped him rebuild the engine on an old " Locomobile " he owns. I don't know that he ever drove a 512 in competition. He left Ferrari after his F1 championship season in 1961. The last race car he drove in competition was a Chapparel with Jim Hall in the late 60's. Phil's health has gone downhill in the last few years. I understand he is suffering from Parkinson's.
