My wife's Tahoe have a noise coming from the little speaker looking thing above the drivers seat. Does anyone know what that thig is for? It does not show if in the manual that I can find. It's like a static sound and does it when ever the engine is running. Any ideas? it's driving her crazy.

Microphone for the Onstar

I thought the mic was the little black thing by the middle of the windsheild.

Its the temperature sensor for the climate control. I dunno why it would be making noise.

It has a small fan in there, the bearing is going bad and making the noise.

I did some searching and found that it has a TSB Bulletin #:01760. Can anyone tell me what the bulletin says?

Mine does the same. And it is an 03. Can't wait for August when it goes back.

Called the dealer and it's a 32.00 part. you have to take the head liner hlf way down to replace.
