You can probably order it with the Duramax Allison from a custom builder if you are going to feel that guilty

Wobble, I am taking a hard look at the new 450. I have spent about $15K additional on my 05 CC duramax dually. I spent $5k on the chrome 19.5's.....all of the performance goodies....Real hitches, goosneck and the receiver and cosmetic items. Not to mention I waxed meanstreaks ford 6.0 butt over and over again last weekend on the way back from camping. With the juice off! Both of our goosenecks weigh 17K....we weighed at a truck stop. And, his trailer has a slope nose. His truck overheated twice. I am scared to death of the new ford motor, but the fact that it already has 19.5's and other heavy duty items kicks azz. I am going to see what the sticker is on both and tally up the total bill to deck out a new GMC vs. the 450. Would you be interested in my 19.5 chrome Driv's if I trade?

Buck, So you really like your 6.0 diesel?
I have to admit that I know very little about diesel engines only what I see here and a few other sites. I have recently been visiting some dealers looking for a used truck. I had a Ford salesman tell me to stay away from the 6.0 because of problems with them. I was just reading a post on here about someone losing a 7.3 so I guess it can just happen but I just do not want to run into a lot of problems.
I use to have a 04 Chevy with the 8.1 gas/Allison and liked the power it had but only had it about a year so I did not get into any reliability issues. I would also consider a Ford with the V10 gas.

I could easily find something to complain about on all of them.
In short I am happy.

Hey Jeff,
Don't know if your aware, but Ford is taking orders on their new 2008 6.4 sequential turbo diesel (new motor). The truck is totally redone in and out (I ordered one), should be here late January-February of 2007. then again, I'm sure you did your home work before ordering, both are great trucks.....

I wish GM would offer the Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton with the Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel engine. The new Suburban looks awesome, but the new HD Trucks that our to come out are ugly! The HD Classic is fine, I use to own a 04 and 05, I am a die-hard Chevy owner and still own a 75 Blazer, 85 Step side and a 92 454SS, but man.... that new they are come out with is ugly! Hope GM will put the Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel engine in the 3/4 Suburban 4x4 SOON!

Thanks OZ. I have a 06 F250, my present 07 F350LWB Dually, and an 08 new style coming in Jan. Sticker is 60k, has everything on it, thats how they aordered it. The dealer told me yesterday that a customer is willing to give me 500 bucks to have the first one in the area. I should have pics as soon as it arrives in appr. 1-2 weeks. I believe I'm going to just order another one, and take the cash. I can wait, and have had 0 problems with my 07. Jeff
