The Aura is the new high-end Saturn luxury sports car. Two versions with the main difference being a 224hp 3.5L V6 in the XE and a 252hp 3.6L V6 in the XR. I was testing cars for the wife and she bought a Hyundai Azera which handles like a drunken sailor on rough pavement.
I would buy the Aura XR in a heartbeat. It's not perfect ergonomically but but the power and handling are outstanding. It has a 6 speed transmission which is unheard of in this size and price class. P225-50/18 tires and the wheels look great. Fuel mileage is good too(24/28 city/hwy).

Good ride, very comfortable for the driver and everything is in a easy to see, operate location. Wife loves the adjsutable pedals! My favorite thing is the paddle shift for the 6 sp auto on the wheel. Drop the trans in Manual and hit it!
My only complaint with the car is the door side panels don't do it justice, and the best MPG we've seen on the highway has been 24.9 I'd think it'll do a lot better once the temp gets spring like outside! can't expect the best MPG in this artic crap!
Hard to beat G.M's warrenty right now.

We set the cruise on 75 on the big road and had some two lane highway on our way to and from Chicago. Round trip was just about 600 miles. Also that was in some winter driving conditions coming back from the Chicago show so I'd think it should pick up a couple MPG at minimum once spring rolls around.
The traction control system works very well as well on the car, it just motors on and thru.
For the money it's a hard car to beat considering the standard features on the XR. We tested a Camry before buying this along with a Impala and Accord. The XR was much more comfortable to drive for us, plus not everyone has one... Yet....
