Default 2500 Hd

I was told that the new 1500 HD is the same as the 2500 HD any truth??

The "new " 1500 is not available as an HD. However you can get up to 10,500lb towing capaccity on 1500 with the 6.0 motor. The old 2500HD is just that, the older model and had a different frame than the old 1500HD. The HD's have a much deeper frame rails ( heavier).

In a word, No.

Bigger frame, axles, springs, etc. 2500's and 3500's are almost identical except for the rear ends.

1500's share the same basic chassis as the 1500 Tahoe and Suburban. the 3/4 ton Suburban is the crossbreed of the bunch, if they still offer it, that's a mixture of 2500 running gear and a 1500 chassis
