The problem with used truck values right now is that with all of the factory/dealer rebates and low interest financing, it's put a hurting on the used truck market(be real, would you pay 35 to 40 grand at 5 to 8 percent financing, or 42 to 45 at 0 to 2.9 interest.)

your always better with a lower purchase price and a higher rate...if you pay a lil xtra every month then the rate is just a soft number...BUT if you PAY TO MUCH FOR THE VEHICLE...thats a hard number...no to mention i refuse to buy anything new...i'll find them a year or 2 old with low mileage and let the original owner take the depreciation hit...boats, cars, bikes etc...like right now for instance. i have a 2006 corvette, 6 speed, black, gray interior, polished aluminum wheels...will certainly be a whole lot cheaper then a new 1

I would agree with the 40K number. I was able to sell my 06 for about 3K less that what you could buy a new 07 for. EBay man...I sold mine in less than 10 days... Be careful and qualify the potential buyers. There are a lot of wholesalers that will offer you nothing so that they can make a K. Wait for the private buyer.
