Chopper Info

Im considering pulling the trigger on a Chopper Nation bike and have a question to ask. I would like to know which motor is better between the Total Performance (TP) and Revtech. Pros and cons? Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks

Tricky919 03-23-2007 10:33 AM

TP, and it's not even close........

tzrider 03-23-2007 11:25 AM

Not even a close comparison. Rev-tech = Taiwan. I have the Cory Ness 145 tribute bike here in the shop with a 145 SS motor and it made 146hp and 151lb\ft tq on the Dyne yesterday. I also have two TP powered bikes here which are equally impressive as well as an Ultima 113 in my bike. If you have any questions or need some guidence feel free to call the shop at 954-917-9200

If your going to go with a crate motor deffinatly run with the TP. better parts a quality. When we do build ups I generally use stock H-D motors for a more buget minded view piont and then modify them. My buddy has a twin cam punched to 95" looks stock and is putting 115 hp at the back wheel . Just tore it down to look at it after 20k miles and its still F'n mint.

my dad had a crank crack in his rev-tec and punch through the oil pan while he was on the highway in front of a motorhome. sprayed oil all over the rear tire and he is luck to be alive.

Straightjacket,
Looking to get into the over 100hp club. What did your buddy have to due with the 95cid? Heads, aftermarket pistons, ignition? Gotta 06 Street Glide and looking at doing the 95 or 103. What would be cheaper?

Didn't mean to hijack the thread... I did answer TP in the previous post.

Mike 35 Fountain 03-23-2007 07:51 PM

I've got a T.P. ..121 cu in ....no comparison with Rev.

Hot Duck 03-24-2007 12:04 AM

My S&S has been great, but between the two you listed there is really no comparison. TP all the way. I have heard nothing but horror stories about RevTec.

tzrider, where is your shop. I live in Lighthouse Point and my office is in Deerfield. My restaurant is on Glades.

Greg

tzrider 03-24-2007 08:34 AM

Hey Greg
I live in Boca, just behind Howards Market on 18th street. My shop is Razors Edge Motorsports and we are located on Mears parkway which is the SE corner of Copans and 441. If you were coming west on copans you'd make a left on 55th which is directly across from the entrance to Maroone Ford, we are the 4th building on the left.
Which Restaurant on glades is yours?

Sleek, The bike has 10.5 : 1 pistons, You can flow your bath water through the heads , Roller rockers. push rods, Gear drive, special grind on the cams, Harley race tuner for the inj. LOOKS STOCK.. JUst added bigger throttle body, Comp. releif valves , thinner head gaskets, and a 6 speed.
The buddy of ours that does our motors races fastest street bike shootout, and has the record holding Hyabusa.

Rev-Tech is difinately on the low end of the food chain,,a kit bike motor at best, all of the good builders offer upgrades to T.P., Ultima or S&S.

I bank at CCCU right out your front doors !!

My career is in Real Estate, but I run the bar at McCormick and Schmicks on Glades and 95 3 nights a week for a social life. I just bought a house in LHP and I move in this weekend. I grew up in Boca/Deerfield.

Oops, back to the thread.

tzrider 03-25-2007 10:22 AM

ANYONE !?!?!?

tzrider 03-27-2007 08:52 AM

Bern
The Swift bike is built by the same company who owns and operates swift carriers ( you see their 18 wheelers all over) They predominately use S&S motors. The bikes are nice looking and fairly well built, as for value some more info is needed. 5 or 6 speed. right or left side drive, rigid or softail etc..

Paul

berns29scarab 03-27-2007 09:14 AM

113 S&S, 5 speed (unsure whos tranny), open primary on left side, rigid with a 240 rear tire

Slick02 03-27-2007 11:39 AM

The chopper/pro-street market has gotten real soft over the last 8 months to year,, educated guess is gonna be in the 12,000 grand range, and thats probably being generous,,alot of the problem is that the market is pretty well flooded with everyones playtoys and every backyard shop in the world is still cranking them out.
Just my opinion, but probably pretty accurate.

berns29scarab 03-27-2007 12:35 PM

i believe he paid in the mid 20's and new 06-07s are 28-34...NUTZZZ

No doubt..go through e-bay and watch the prices,,they are going in the toilet at a high rate of speed.

Ultima El Bruto 113 CI.!! The best place to buy one is SMW in OK. They have complete driveline packages. Mine dynoed at 118 hp and 120 tq. This weekend alone I smoked (and I mean smoked) a 114ci TP and a 110 ci Revtech!!! Pissed my buddies OFF! TP is a pretty piece, but the El BRuto series is the bomb. SMW also doubles the Ultima warranty.
Trust me Brother I researched the hell out of this when I built mine last year.
Oh yeah, and the new S&S 117ci. is even slower than the rev and TP.
