Augie- I purchased the truck new and keep good records of everything. In the past I have successfully done a buy-back using the lemon laws in Louisiana.
My truck is excluded from lemon laws due to being over 10,000 GVW and outside first year of warranty. In La. there are Redhibition laws which are more general and go above and beyond lemon laws- you can sue for entire purchase price, etc. with no deductions for mileage, etc. and are not specific to motor vehicles. Apply during the entire warranty period, which is what the lemon laws SHOULD also do.

your engine has a 5 year/100,000 mile warrenty, have your truck weighed your gvw will be less then 10,000lbs and they can't use that, you can still lemon law it,just use a certified scale,go to dieselplace.com and search for gm buy backs, this has come up as several members have had gm buy back there 04.5-05's due to overheating when towing heavy, call gm cust service,it will help if you go to court later on
