Thinking of starting to save up now for 2 reasons
1. GAS!!!! 2. I dont want a pos I did a lil research and found out that a 1990 K5 Blazer is better on gas than my dads truck wgich is bearable. I want a mid 70s Trans-Am but thats not the best winter car.:D |
Owned an '89 K5 many yeas ago. Turned it over to my kid when I bought a '95 Tahoe. He put in a 383. Nice vehicle put sux for towing...too short of a wheel base.

They are one of the few 4X4's we could'nt kill as teens. My cousin who just turned 20 has one that belonged to a friend of mine in high school...... The only other SUV from the 80's early 90's I would look at would be a Jeep Wagoneer with the AMC 360, and no fake wood side panels.

They tend to be rot boxes here in FL. The 92-on seem to not have the rust issue.

had a 87 with 350 TBI and fully loaded......not easy on gas......sold it 3yrs ago.
every guy and his brother come up to you ......"COOL!....had one just like it........." |

Had an '82 K-5 for a first car, wasnt bad, had a few problems, but the 350TBI's are much better than the old 305 4 barrel I had.
of course gas was much cheaper back the(1986). |
Thanks Guys
