How to reseal the roof on an enclosed car trailer
My car trailer is about 7 years old now and some of the roof seams are starting to leak. It has a one piece roof but it still has the seams at the outside edges. This is where it is leaking. Has anybody resealed their own roof. I am looking for a sealing substance that will will flex with the trailer.

GE silicone. Clean the surface well. If you tape off where you'll run the beads then sand the area lightly to clean and rough it up, it will last longer. You can use duct tape to mash and it will be more resistant to sandpaper.

The area I need to seal is about 4" wide by 28' long. The manufacturer used a roofing sealant like what is used on homes to seal the edge. (They screw the edge of the roof down, and then seal it)

I went to a motor home place they had some stuff in a tube that goes in a caulking gun. The surface cant have any silicon or dirt, it lays out thick and then self leveling. I did not take the old factory sealer off.Just layed it over it.I just did mine the first of the year,it works good.I ran some tape on both sides to make a straight line,make it neat looking.Mine was mainly leaking on the front top seam,it has the mirror stainless cap with the cast alum corners.
The stuff from the factory on my Haulmark is silver and looks like a hard epoxy type sealeant,it was cracking.
The Dicor stuff says it made for rubber roofs, I looked at a lot of stuff for the metal roofs thought this would be better.
I tried the silicon first its didnt stick and didnt hold up in the sun.
