I'd say throw some Toyo Open Country AT's not the MT's. in 265 of course
|
I have the Toyos on my new 3500 srw on 20s look MUCH better but not near as smooth on the highway. 15k miles and holding up very well.

Tires from Factory are Bridgestone. 265/R70/17 are 31.7 in diameter 265/R75/16 are 31.7 in diameter (note middle #) speedo should be same if you change to 265. 285 is width of tire. Middle number is height from wheel to tread height. middle number is aspect ratio....ratio of height to width....in other words the amt of tire in relation to rim. |
I have the same truck....duramax,,,anyway tried 285 yokahamma's or how ever you spell it....they were horible, tire rack took them back after 2 months, handled terrible, they were load range c's, so stay with the e's running dulap 265's rovers, handle great ride good and are quiet....Rob

i have BFG 265-75-16 with 30+k miles on mine and they are great. i think i can get 15-25k more miles from them...

Michelin LTX M/S on my 2500
tried 285's and was a little to boaty feeling to me. Back down to 245's and love them. |
I have a set of factory take off bridgestone 773 II's mounted on new gm rims, I can sell you the rims and tires, tires only or do an exchange for your rims. Less then 10 miles on them. I live just north of green bay so an easy pickup. 245/75/16's.

I would automatically check the speedo against a GPS. On my '06 GMC when I went from stock to 285/17's it threw the speedo off by 5 mph.

Augie58, thanks for the offer, but I have that tire right now and I can't stand them. There could be a quarter of an inch of snow and they are all over the place.
Thanks |
I Put The 265 Revos On And Love Them! Great Looks And Really Quite!
