Under cost? Is that under MSRP or under Invoice?

I have a 2008 F450 and love it! Fuel mileage is exactly as I expected it - Bad! On the other hand comfort, towing, ride, and everything else is Great! I have a 2006 Range Rover and it's mileage is Bad for an SUV, but I love the vehicle. I also have a 1970 Riviera and it's mileage is worse than the F450!

Talking mileage, my 36 Spectre is really bad... In fact I considered putting a sign on the boat that's visible when it's being traliered.

"Thanks for driving your hybrid, I need the gas!"

But reason prevailed, I did the politically correct thing and didn't follow through with the sign.

The point is most things come with advantages and disadvantages. Nothing is perfect for everyone so you need to make your choice based upon best filling your needs. Blasting a specific product as bad is opinion, not fact!

If you like the F450, then in my opinion it's a great truck!

I have a 450 and love it. But i do drive a Honda civic as a dailey driver. The Honda does get about triple the fuel milage as the truck. But the 450 drives better and looks alot cooler:D:D

I researched a lot before I bought the f450. I have 2 friends who are regional managers for Peterbilt, so PACAR is what I mainly looked at. First, a tractor, even an empty bobtail gets about 6 mpg on the road but about 4 with town driving. Even an aerodynamic with a C12 will get between 6 and 7 on the road (doesn't change much with an empty or full trailer). This may mean several hundred dollars per truck per month for a trucking company but doesn't really mean much for a guy pulling a boat. A medium is not practical as a daily driver where I live and even if it is somewhere, the milage in local driving is about 10 or less. The f450 has worked great as a daily driver and maneuvers as well as any car. I can park it in a covered garage at work with 7' clearance and it has 4 wd for snow. Also, and importantly, it tows a big, heavy boat very well. There are many opinions about vehicles, towing, andsafety, but the bottom line is legality is imperative (towing within limits) and driver error is the major component in all accidents. In my opinion, if you drive a vehicle all the time, you will be much safer. Some of the guys on here own trucking companies and drive the trucks regularly, if you don't, it is simply not safe to do it, no watter how safe the vehicle is.

Maybe if they hurry up and redesign the nose, they won't have to keep doing that.

I buy a new ford truck every other year. I will wait this one out:(

If you drive it you may change your mind. The quiet new diesel is worth it.

plus..optional on the 350 is the 450 front end with the super tight turning radius. I love it. Also very nice is the back up camera, you can back right up to the trailer ball, my Duramaxes do not have that option, and this 6.4 is slightly quieter. Did we convince you, should we keep going...:DJeff

I just got my 450 I had a 350 last year & the 450 is a little better. I really like the tighter turning. I also have 4.88 rears but I have a 22.5 wheel & tire kit coming & I may try a Superchip just for fun. Great truck & gets as good or a little better fuel mileage than my H-2 does & won't come close to the towing or hauling capicity. I'd say all in all a very good truck.
