Full Pimp Toy Hauler!!!
3 Attachment(s)
Here are a couple of pics of our new toy hauler. It is a 53' trailer with living quarters. It has 29' of garage and 24' of living quarters with a slide out in the front. I wanted to give some of you an idea of what the the new model trucks are capable of pulling and stopping if set up correctly. The whole rig weighs 27,440lbs with the loaded trailer weighing 19,080lbs. Pin weight is 4,780 lbs. I do not have air bags and the truck handles it fine and tows up mountains (at least inTN) and never gets under 65mph and tows effortlessly at 70 to 75 everywhere else. It has a juice with attitude, 4" turbo back duals, and afe cold air with a blocked off egr.

It is a tight fit in my shop. The shop is 72' deep. With the truck and trailer hooked together, I have 3 inches to the back wall and 1.5" from the front bumper to the brace on the garage door. BUT IT FITS!!:cool-smiley-026:
|
I wish you the best and it looks good. some states, don't know about Tnn are cracking down on total gross weight being higher than the trucks sticker in the door can handle. check with Tnn DOT to find out how they look at those things. Oklahoma, Texas, calif and florida are starting to look at the trucks decal in the door and if you are heavier then the sticker they can make you dis connect. Just cover your azz

register it as a farm vehicle and all DOT goes out the window.. you can haul whatever you want on whatever you want behind whatever you want.. I see flatbed f250's with 30k worth of hay piled onto a dual single axle trailer here all the time.. scarrrrry..
good lookin rig though, that must be one heck of a shop! I love those can-ams! I race my outlander in the desert series here. |
Thats what I am talking about. all those one ton trucks pulling those large big tex trailers will soon be a thing of the past
|
Awesome:drink: Hows the back doing?
|
One day at a time...good days and bad days....you know the story. But...it could be alot worse!

Uh...Big E is now little e when he rolls up beside me:D His is 46' and our new one is 53'.....the old one was 38'. His is nice as hell though. He has Ostrich skin walls in his. I did not need ostrich skin, so I took that money and added a slide out and some more length.....my wife requested it. Anyway, I have plenty of room for the busted 300ex. However you cannot take a dump in my toilet. You have to have blond hair and a tight landing strip for me to play with your poop when I am dumping the holding tanks.

Nice rig
What setting on your edge ya tow in? |

Level 1 with anything over 10 or 12k. Stock tranny will not take any more....learned that with my last truck as I scattered the allison all over the interstate.

put 19 or 20k behind it and see what happens. Also, level 1 on LBZ makes as much or more on level one as lb7 does on 3. I used to tow my 38 which is heavier than a slingshot to cumberland on level 4 with a lb7 truck.
|
guys, watch your EGT's and tranny temps, great looking hauler John.:cool-smiley-011:

Are you dancing around "tucking" saying "it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again " and "Put the lotion in the basket" like buffalo bill in Silence of the Lambs?
|

Now that you have this trailer is Mike ready to sell his? I need a 24' enclosed to haul the S2000 around. I'll call him at work today when I get a break. Dang that's a NICE hauler John. |
Now that I've read all the post in this thread I should have taken Kennyo's advice in post #24!
|
Mike who?
|
Tompkins. I think that's who RB told me. I've only met him a few times. Lives on the lake by Shutes Branch. It's Bruce's old trailer.
|
I've even found the perfect upgrade for him, http://www.govictorymarine.com/trailerandtruck4sale/. Just needs to be re-painted to match his style. It's here in the classifieds for $40K.
|
Good luck doing anything with Mike that involves money.......

Robb, come by and check it out if you would like to see it. I will be around all weekend. I am doing the last 2 "Upgrades" to it. I am installing seating for the home theater this weekend in it.
|
I saw online a 53' Vintage 2007 model Toy Hauler for sale and its in Mt. Juliet. Maybe Eric can buy this one to keep up.
