Does any body know what the weight is of this truck and were to find it?Not the weight loaded(gvwr)in the door but just the truck itself unloaded.Im fighting the cops in my neighborhood.I got a ticket parked infront of my house on a public street. He said my truck must weigh more than 10500lbs so here you go! It is a crew cab pickup box! Thanks

GM listed specs are going to vary by truck based on options and conversion package. www.chevrolet.com should be able to provide you something, but I'd just take the truck to a truckstop with a Certified CAT scale, and fight the ticket with an actual weigh of your truck. Go with an empty tank if you think its close, but it can't be more than 10500 lbs. Sounds like a brilliant cop with a quota to fill.

WHen we weighed ours, it came in @ 9953, this was w/low fuel and nothing extra in the truck. We alswo left off all the extra trailer hitches.

More importantly FIGHT the ticket. DA's and the court system hate these types of BS tickets as well.

Refuse to give them the weigh ticket untill discovery for trial. Tell them this up front, thus creating LOTS of extra work for them.

He who muddy's up the system the most useally wins the biggest.

Or of course give them the option to throw out the ticket. As soon as it is dismissed, file a complaint against the officer. He will get reprimanded/scolded and your hassle will end!

I have a c5500 and it weights real close to 10500. I think it matters how it's equiped. Mine is a 2003 monroe conversion with air ride. Good luck. Doug

When you show up in court, ask the officer "by what means did you ascertain this vehicle's weight". His thoughts aren't evidence. You can make him look like an ass with one simple question. Then show him your weight slip. Enjoy!
