I am in mobile Alabama.I have a 2005 2500 duramax.90,000 miles.It has not started 5 times so far. the fuel filter n oil filter where changed 1000 miles ago.when it won't start I go n prme n bleed the fuel filter n see if there is any water in the filter.It seems to me that it loses fuel pressure wheni'm priming it.1 time it will start and another time it won't.My problem is I have a power on it and the dealers here will not work with me on it and look away if it is under warrenty.

Do you by chance have a remote start on the truck? Buddy had starting issues on his and turned out to be the remote start system. Guess theres a modual on the systems that need to be folled to thinking theres a key in the ignition....problem is the modual fools with the factory systems sometimes....no codes or anything to tell you whats going on....

Your loosing prime in the fuel system. Check the oring on the fuel filter, probably installed dry or incorrectly. Change the fuel filter and install correctly. Check the water in fuel sensor after that on the bottom.

If none of the above, trace the fuel lines the whole way and look for a loose/seeping connection.

I have 06 Duramax, changed the fuel filter, used a WIX and its not the same as before. It takes longer to start, Dealer told me to stick with AC/Delco to avoid the problem. The WIX filter has a problem with the seal... letting air in the fuel line.

Dieselplace site sucks.I left there a couple years ago because it wouldn't let me back in on new pc.It sends me a new password and then says wrong password.I registered again with new name and sends me another password and still can't get in.

I would pull the filter and check the o-rings at the top of the filter and where the water sensor screws into the bottom of the filter. Also make sure air isn't sucking in through the water drain in the bottom of the water sensor. Also check the plastic vent screw that you loosen to prime the system. Just barely crack it when you pump the system up. Once you get no more air bubbles and just straight diesel out from around that screw tighten it down and continue to pump until you can no longer depress the primer.
