Default Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

First off- im not using to tow... Just was wondering if anybody has any experience with one of these 0-60 in 4.7 beasts? I sold my Excursion last July and bought a F-350 PSD dually. Which means we do all our family driving in a Honda Accord(2door) now. The wife is 8 months pregnant and I need an SUV for her. Thing is, any family stuff is in her car too now. I don't really want some ho-hum car and these are pretty cheap compared to the other SUVs i've looked at (new/used X5's, Cayannes, Range Rover Sports)thanks, mike

They are cool. I had a 5.9 limited when they came out in 98...not near as bad azz as the SRT but still cool. I was looking for one for my pregnant wife, but settled on a trailblazer SS. Just more useable and with a tune, intake, exhaust, and e-fans(something i do to all my vehicles anyway) can run with the srt. I have not been impressed, however, with chrysler quality over the yrs. GM or ford for me unless its a cummins.

enjoy, its fast!

We sold the wife's G35 coupe because she was pregnant and ended up with a Grand Cherokee. Not the SRT8, but don't plan on putting much in the back seat other than the baby seat. We wished we had gone with a Tahoe or Yukon.

Great acceleration and 8-10 miles per gallon. I believe if you tow with it, voids the warranty. Plus the exhaust pipes are in the middle where the hitch should be.

I just bought the Charger SRT-8 2 weeks ago....love the speed and the jeep is even faster. With a couple bolt-ons I've already run a 4.58 0-60 just playing with the thing. I don't drive alot so mileage wasn't a big issue but it will only get 10-15 mpg. Dodge has a lifetime warranty on the drive train of all their models EXCEPT the SRT line...keep that in mind if it matters.
