O.E. Fords (aluminum) have to be dismounted to rotate due to the backsides of the rims not being finished.
As far as tires, I suggest either Michelin(although they are pricing themselves out of the market) or Bridgestones. |

because of sponsership we went with Toyo, and it turns out they are a great tire. we have over 100K on our f-350.
i also have a set on my Excursion and they have been great on and off road. |

I pull so much weight around with my F350 on a regualr basis I dont even bother rotating them. I treat the fronts as steer tires and the rears as drive tires. I put on cooper SRMII on the fronts and have goodyears on the back. With that stoopid coss I bean front suspension I burn off 2 sets of fronts to one set of rears.

Steel wheels with simulators will be the same no matter where you put them, since the simulator covers the wheel. Aluminum wheels depend on whether or not the wheel is polished on both sides. Some of the cheaper ones are only polished on one side, so people typically just rotate them side to side. Steers are always steers, inners are always inners and outers always outers. They just get moved L to R. If they're polished on both sides and you keep up on your polishing, you can rotate all 6. Not sure if this an old wives tale or there is some truth to it. Maybe new technology tires can take it both ways. |
I just replaced the front tires on my dually, and saved them for eventual swap-out to the rear. The ones off the front had plenty of center tread left, and work great as inner rear tires.
