LOL, I wondered if that coment would come up. I build custom Spearguns and clamps are at a premium while laminating teak...thats about half of what I actually have in clamps. Here's a few more for you...

The Kodiaks are all on. Now its time to mount the EOH pump and breakaway. I need to decide what kind of box I want to mount for the pump and parts to be protected. The 16x6 wheels should be in this week also...

I have raised part of the boat off the trailer to start working on crossmembers and boat support. Just curious how high off the trailer is too high for the boat to launch. Right now the bottom of the transom sits level with the bottom of the I-beam and rises up the farther forward you go. I am wondering if I make straight crossmembers and bring the transom bottom to the top of the I-beam (7 inches) if it will be too high on the trailer.

EOH Brake install

Very interested in where you mount the Brake box and other equipment for EOH. I believe I have this same chore ahead of me this spring. I believe you said you were going with Dexter. I was thinking maybe Brakerite on mine, but that depends on how yours turns out. I just have single axle Kodiak brakes on 5200 lb twin axles.Take lots of start to finish pics!!!! Great project so far!

Thanks, Its been started and stopped a few times. I got the Dexter on an auction back a long time ago, thats the reason I am going with it. I have heard all kinds of good things on the Brakeright but I dont want to sink the money into it when I already have the Dexter. I may have to ask my questions on new threads then come back to this one...

Dont know yet if I will go back to them. I have Dexter Easy Lube spindles and you are supposed to modify them for Bearing buddies.

Mount the brake box as far forward and as high as possible. The last thing you want is such getting swamped with a wave/wake when you are backing in the water, not to mention shallow ramps that force you in pretty deep. Myco puts them on the trailer frame, right behind the coupler. I kind of wish it was a set up a bit higher on a piece of box tube.

I am planning a ladder to get on the boat easier for one man operation. I may have to mount it high under a step. Thanks for the suggestion.
