It's going to be sickeningly low,3 weeks ago in detroit free press ford had 2008 4wd club cab trucks w/v-8 that were loaded, stickered at 34 something thousand,17,000$ off sticker PLUS low interest,I could not believe it,there can't be any used market left if the dealers are giving away brand new ones,Smitty

Pretty much anything used is going to bring upsettingly low #'s as a trade. The new vehicles are priced good if you are doing a straight buy, otherwise using a trade you will probably end up @ around sticker, possibly more.. This whole system is screwed up lately & the banks are terrible right now as well.. Its a real screwy situation.. My wife & I have been looking into buying new vehicles if the deal is right. So far GM & Dodge/jeep have pretty good incentives, but still not good enough to get our sale.. Jamie

Just bought an 08 FX2 extended cab with 5.4, leather, sat radio, windows locks, etc for 22 and some pennies with 2.9 interest. Sticker on the truck was 32. Which indicates to me that the value of used is pretty much junk right now being as you'd have to pay much higher interest rates on used which make the new vehicle the more attractive of the 2.

A local Chevy dealer just royaly insulted me then on trade offer on 05 GMC 2500 SLE 4x4, 66K miles. $7500 you have got to be f-n kidding me.

I told him that if I had bought that truck new and they offered me that they'd lost my business permanantly. I wasn't even planning on trading in but figured I'd check. Now I don't really want to buy there.

I'm a GM employee and so adding trade in haggling just isn't worth it when the price is set on the deal, especially with a lowball like that.

That is all the money (trade in) for a reg cab w/ 6.0 gas motor. No one wants those.....

Got offered 10K for a 03 Crew Cab 2500 Diesel 2WD with 125K on it last month. Rough book on all big trucks right now......
