I have a good friend that just picked up an 08 chevy 2500, duramax crewcab for under 35k as well.

Unfortunately for me, my wifes transmission is going out in her 540 so she just got a new X5 and I am still without a new truck.

Let us know what you end up finding..
After I left there I got quoted 36900 for a new 08 Dodge
with a sticker of 49200 and 44k for one loaded leather navigation etc that had a sticker of 56400.
Would like all the goodies but don't really need them so just have to decide which on I want

That is about what I have found. The bells and whistles obvisouly change things a bit. I have been quoted under 35k for a barebones 08. One thing to keep in mind is that I am in St. Louis and we have a large Chrysler plant here and as a result I am sure the transport fees and such are probably non-existant.

Post up some pics once you find one.

.
Not sure about less destination charges for dealers closer to the manufacturing plants. This would be an advantage for those dealers able to charge less money to the same customer. I believe all dealers in the same region pay the set fee, no matter how close or far away you are from the plant.

We have customers that want to pick up a new Kenworth and try to save the 1800. destination charge, per vehicle. They are ok to transport themselves, but still have to cough up the set fee.

it doesn't matter if you are on the next corner from the plant or not the destination charges are on the sticker and will be the same for any vehicle in that region...

Local Dodge dealer is having "buy 1, get 1 free" on new trucks. Not sure of details and if on 3/4 and 1 ton but it is for half ton. A friend was looking at crew cab 1500 and free one was single cab 1500. Plus they were discounting from the sticker. Dodge is doing everything they can to get rid of '08's before the new '09's hit the lots.

Tell your friend to quit his job and go get every one that he can. I will double his current income.

It is one of the following:

A. Not a Denali but a lightly equipped Yukon
B. Used, not new
C. His buddy forgot to mention the trade included with the 25K
D. His buddy lied
