Anyone have a new style Chevy 1500 with a 6" lift?
Hey guys I'm wondering how did putting a 6'' lift with 35'' tires effect the ride quality of your truck also how much did it hurt your fuel mileage. They are claiming 15mpg around town and 20mpg on the highway is this accurate. What are you getting with the lift and 35's Thanks

I have an 08 2500 gasser with a 6 in and 33's with 3.73 gears. I'd like to go to 35's, but didn't want to regear at the time.
With the 6.0 and 6 spd I'm seeing 11 mpg. I think I lost around 3 with the lift.
If you are looking at a 5.3 liter, you'll have to regear for 35's for sure. I would think you would lose 3 mpg as well with a re-gear, and basically couldn't move the thing with 3.73 or something steeper?

Why would you have to regear? I have an 06 2500 with a 6 liter as well it has 4.10's and the stock tires I think they are
245-75-16's In the summer I get 11mpg in the winter i'm getting 8.5-9 mpg it's driving me crazy I should have bought a duramax I can only go around 225 miles on a tank of gas.

The 4.10's in your 2500 would be perfect for upping the tires to 33's, which would give you a "final drive" equivalant to 3.73's and stock tires and up your milage too.
Actually, I need to swap my 3.73's for 4.10's......but I'd be looking for some very low milage gears as I have 2500 miles.
I think fullsizechevy.com would have all the answers you're looking for.
I too sometimes wish I went with a D-max, but for my purposes it would never have paid itself back with as little as I drive.
