Default Any Lincoln/Ford experts here???

My wife is interested in a new Ford Edge. Our local Lincoln-Merc dealer has had a new 2008 Lincoln MKX on the lot for close to a year now. Sticker is 37k What would be a realistic offer? I know as soon as she drives it off the lot it's just a used one year old car.

Thanks in advance,

Kurt

Kurt, if you decide that new is not the way to go give me a call, and I will let you know what a low mileage 08 from FMCC will run you. Good luck.

P.S. I have a friend who is a new Lincoln dealer and can get you the current incentives. Call me today and I will hook you guys up, or I will get you the info. (518) 796-3325.

Kurt,

I am not familiar with that vehicle, But Check all your rebates, and see if you qualify for X-plan, and 0% financing. We just picked up an '08 Mustang GT with the boss package brand new with $5250 in rebates, another $1500 or so off for X-Plan, and 0% financing for 72 months, we didnt need to go out 72, but since they were offering it, and it doesnt cost anything, we took it. Also, around here they are selling more used cars than anything, and they were happy to take my '04 blazer, and give me top doller for it, they even wanted to buy my 6 cylinder mustang, so hold out for top dollar on your trade in.

IF I still had a new 08 Escape, I would sell it well below X-plan. You should be able to buy that for $1500 less than invoice/ x-plan and still get the rebates.

Having worked in the business. If it was on my lot that long I would take invoice. X-Plan is more than Invoice just to let you know.

Thanks for the help guys, it's been a while since I've set foot into a new car dealership. Not much has changed up here!
