Roger..we also have a 08 GMC Duramax..they have their problems as well. get about 1 more mpg more than the Fords..but can't pull the same load as confidently..and Im a GM man...you should have got a F350 with the 450 front end like I did with the tight turning radius. The two we have...have 24760 miles mine and my carpenters is 54___ something..they both were got in aug of 07.. mine has the 3.73 gears and his has the 4.10's. about 1.5 mpg difference on identicle trucks. The 450 is a purpose built truck..its made for one thing and it does it well..but is way different and cumbersome as a daily driver than the 350.. Good Luck selling it...Raymond is a fair guy..give him a shot.

The wheels aren't shining because the former owner had the tires rotated. The finish on the inside of the rear wheels is more satin than shiny like on the front. Mine are the same way. On one of the Diesel forums I read that you do not put the rears up front on this truck, unless you want to break down the wheels and tires for a rotation.

As far as the deal is concerned, that is a great price!!! Is the truck two or four wheel drive? If that is for a four wheel drive Lariat you are definately getting a killer deal.

Thumbs up

I just bought an '08 450 4X4 Lariat 19.5's and the whole ball of wax with 33K miles for $34.5K. Truck is spotless. No nav or back up camera, does have DVD. 4.30 gear and it runs and pulls like a dream. Has already had the radiator replaced and a good friend of mine is the division service rep for Ford so I do have an inside source for repairs etc.

To this point, I am thoroughly satisfied although I have only owned it a short period of time. Getting high 12 low 13 mpg avg. 9 - 10 towing. I have always been a GM guy but this truck has impressed me so far.
