Smarty TNT-r. Twins are T58 over a gt4202. Arp studs. 80hp edm injectors. Floor stage 2 cp3. Fass. South bend dual disc ceramic clutch. Devils own water/methanol injection. F1 valve springs. Coolant bypass/relief.
My turbos are limiting me. But they tow great!

Your truck sounds like it will hang right in there. whats it have for mods???? And you cant say a Superchip
I hope you put that truck back to stock before the trade...

I'm not going to twins unless I absolutely have to. But I don't think I'll have to;

Long thread but worth the read IMO.

Took everything off but the head studs, and intake and exhaust. Sold the twins and now were in the process of a DPF delete and PPE hot +2 on the dura-smack. FYI, read this months issue of diesel power, it show how hard these smacks will run. Im not taking out my right headlight though.....

Uh.... Schwiiiiiiing....... Nice.

Check out Valair clutches if u ever destroy your SB. I ran several SBs and then finally switched. But, they were on a sled at the track more than on the road.......

You're not the first one to rag on SB clutches. Lots of stick shift guys on the Cummins forums are switching to Valair feramic clutches. I don't expect my G56 to hold up very long under 17-18k of toyhauler so I'll be talking to them when the time comes.

Does your Smarty smoke a lot? I've heard they do that. I want a programmer that won't smoke under a heavy load. (Or at least very little)

I don't know much about twins but ATS, BD and Industrial Injection all make kits that guys seem to like.

ARP is top shelf. Did you upgrade your head gasket too? Fire ring?

Dual CP3 is a must for heavy fueling...

FASS is good but AirDog has come up with an improvement over their old kit.

Devils Own I've barely heard of. Snow is the major player in the water/methanol arena.

Don't know much about valve springs but it can't hurt to upgrade them in a big hp diesel.

Coolant/bypass what's that??

Cat, most good programmers are gonna make a lil smoke, some more than others. Smoke is a product of un burnt fuel as u know, and LOW BOOST. Twins will take care of a fair amount of this and lower egts, which u have with pulling a big load. As far as clutches go, ask for the Aussie at valair, tell him u know the guys from Red Dirt Diesel in Wichita Falls. Valve spring kits are so an engine can turn over the pre set 3800 rpm. Lets say, 4500 to 5000. Actually, i saw 5000 once on my 01. Hope it helps, look up RDDP on you tube

My 95 1 ton dodge that i bought new has 436,000 hard miles on it with no problems, its my farm truck, and i'll tell ya i'm not nice to it at all. i put a 2002 5.9 cummins in my wifes 2001 ford excursion that has 230,000 miles on it now , with no problems. And my 2003 ford 1 ton has a 2006 5.9 cummins in it after the powerjoke puked at 40,000 miles. I wouldn't be scared of 200,000 miles on a cummins but i would on any other out there. Don't be mad just my experience, i'm preaty bias when it comes to diesels. I'm with ya about the auto trans, but by the time 150,000 to 200,000 roll around they normally have new trans in them anyway. My 97 has a 5 speed.
Gotta love those Cummins conversions. They're becoming more and more common now that the 6.0s and 6.4s are going down. There are adaptor plates for the Cummins and Ford transmissions. Same for the Cummins/Allison.

Too loud! I'll stick with my 6.4. It's been great so far (knock on wood).
