2010 F450
Found what I think is a good deal on a new F450 to pull the MTI. Below invoice plus $4500 Ford incentives, plus state tax deduction if purchased before 12/31. My F250 just won't cut it anymore. Opinions? First hand experience? Only thing I didn't like was the 8.4 MPG on the test drive. 4.30 gears....is this accurate?
Thanks

F350 is all you need. I have 3:73 gears and when towing the boat get 8.2-8.9. Traveling 72mph non-towing I average around 15.6. Truck is stock, no aftermarket enhancements. I have not had anything major go wrong.. but some on this board have. You will hate the truck at 8.4mpg sooner than later. I have a few pics to show you that your MTI is not any larger than my NorTech. Good Luck. Jeff

I'm not bashing Ford but WOW... 8 mpg??? Is that gas or Diesel? I know your boats are probaly heavier than mine(38 scarab) but I get 12.2 highway towing w/ Dmax. 4.30 gears must be gas in that F450? IMHO Seeing the other F450 post and all that went wronge maybey you should pass on it.

Don't waste your money just call us. ha ha... I bought my first Dodge 2 years ago, all I do is haul boats all over 48 states from 5 to 20k pounds. I get 23mpg empty and about 11 loaded no matter what is behind me. Knock on wood no problems what so ever and I have about 118,000 miles and counting.
