2008 4x4 f450
Found an 2008 f 450 4x4, diesel. 36000 miles for $37000. Is this a good deal and how do you guys like the truck? I have a 2000 f350 4x4 with 150000 miles with the 7.3 diesel- Runs like a top. Just thinking about getting a newer truck with less miles.

It will probly have the 4.88 axle and get about 12-13mpg unloaded hwy mileage. What do have that you need an F450 to tow? I would update and upgrade the one you have now, and when the 7.3 gets too tired drop a Cummins in it. In the meantime there are lots of aftermarket mods for the 7.3. You'll save a lot of money going that route.
(BTW I used to play a lot of pool myself back in the day when i didn't need trifocals

I have an 08 F450 4X4. Cat's right, with the 4.88's expect to get poor milage. I get around 13 empty, 8-10 mpg hauling a boat depending on size. The onboard computer always says I am getting about 1 mpg better than actual. But I love the truck and believe it's the best choice in it's size IF you're towing a large boat. One thing to keep in mine is this truck has a GVWR of 16,000lbs, so if your trailer has a GVWR of over 10,000 lbs it puts you over 26,000lbs and you will need a CDL. I have over 80,000 miles of boat hauling with no problems, but I'm not bragging. When I said on here how I had no problems with my 2003 F250 6.0 it blew up the next week.

I had a 05 F350 and now have a 08 F450 and there is a big difference.
the 08 is much quieter, turns better, doesn't have near the turbo lag that the 05 had, feels quicker, gets about same mileage.
havent had a problem with either truck
i liked the interior of the 05 better. they were both 4x4
