i have the megacab with the 6.7. it has 29000 miles in less than a year and has yet to go to the shop for anything. the low end tq is impressive. i drive fords at work and i am not impressed at all with the quality. seem to have lots of quirks. all my friends that have the fords have been having problems ( turbos and block issues ). i had a chevy before i got the dodge. the chevy seats are better but the dodge seems to pull much better from off the line and has been very reliable. they all have their ups and downs. for reliability i would go with the dodge. for comfort, chevy. not sure about the new ford yet. it could be ok. i am just not too sure about it. bad taste from previous experiance i guess.

I'm with you on not outsourcing, but Canadian production isn't exactly selling us out to low cost labor, so it's a little different. Also, their gov't stepped up to the plate to keep manufacturing in their country as well. Not too mention their are a ton of cars sold in Canada and producing there helps. It is much better than Mexico, but I'd still prefer pretty much everything be built here.

I have a 2010 2500 with the auto and 4:10 gears. I only pull a 232 Baja with it but I am very pleased with the truck. I drove all the 2010 models when I bought it in Jan and hands down it was the best option. Tuning is now available for the Ram by H&S so power can be had easily. No urea injection for the Dodge as with the other brands, which is one reason I went with it on top of the ride and overall feel of the truck. The EGR and DPF can be deleted if you wish which will give you back some MPG's and keep soot out of the engine. I honestly think the Cummins is a better choice for reliability. Everyone always says if you could put a Cummins in a King Ranch Ford that would be a killer truck. Well Dodge did a great job with the new interior, so it's hard to argue that now.

It's trade-in time again. My 06 f350 diesel dually has let me down too many times. I would consider the new Ford, but the local dealership is no better. Chevy or Dodge? They all cost too much, but I need the diesel power. I'm leaning towards Chevy, completely American, duramax, comfort, reliability. Hopefully better dealer support after spending the 50,000.

Just to poke fun at myself. here is my baby when i was putting the head gaskets on it! and i can have a cab off of a crew cab in 1.5 hours. my record was a regular cab with vinyl floors and was filthy and all scratched up... so i didnt have to be to careful... 57 minutes cab in the air.. and i had the cab off of th truck next to it at that time as well. think i was doing a 6.4 shortblock on that one

As to the H&S tuner it can't be run with the DPF and EGR on the truck. Legally it's for offroad use only(race trucks). Use it on the highway at your peril because if you are caught the fine will be in the thousands.
