As long as it has the tow-haul feature and an engine brake you should be fine. Dually is best for 12,000lbs+.

What's the weight on those Skaters?

I'd think pulling them would be easy, being legal the question. I think the 5th wheel rating is like 24K lbs, so I'd think it no problem with a 5th wheel for sure.

I have the 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500HD dually with a Duramax diesel and the Alison transmission. We have a Donzi 43 and it tows like a dream. In fact, I will occasionally look in the rear view mirror and get startled because I tend to forget that I am towing. My son added an aftermarket chip with a dash mounted controller. You can actually break the rear tires loose if you punch the pedal at stop ... with the boat which has around 1500# of tongue weight.

If you like the Dmax in your truck, think how much you'd like the Gale Banks Twin Turbo Supercharged Dmaxs in your boat.

You should be fine, Chevy has been behind in the towing capacity but they changed that this yr. The 3500 is rated over 16,000 tag, and 21,700 fifth wheel I believe.

I have a 2010 Chevy 3500 HD with all the goodies and I have no problem pulling my 39' MTI or 41' Apache. Great truck!
