Sorry to hear about your troubles!
The newer trucks without warranty scare me. Thats why i sold my 2004 King ranch and bought a 1989 Chevy dually big block gasser. Cheap to own, cheap to repair, and cheap to insure. not so cheap at the gas pump though!
I do miss my Ford, as it was a looker all waxed and cleaned up. I may buy another new truck soon, but i gotta say, i dont mind not making that 650 dollar payment every month for it!

I just sold my F350 SRW Harley, it just ran out of the 5yr/100 warranty. I bought it new, and it always got compliments evern before the lift and tires. Problem was all the warranty work over the years added up to $36,000 and I was not going to take chances out of warranty.
EGR cooler twice, radiator exploded at 12k, Turbo on second EGR cooler, head gasket, then another head gasket, then head gaskets again and the found the deck of the block was not true and put a new long block in it!
Looks like you have had good luck, which is great...for me I am not sure if I would take chances again....too bad, it was a nice truck fit and finish wise

Bet you anything the bulk of those repairs are from a prior repairs done half assed.

Lucky for me I always had two vehicles, and they always warrantied no questions asked, even with a 10 inch lift and 38 inch tires.
My 02 duramax GM tried sticking it my a$$ on injectors before they lost the class action suit.

Im selling an 07 Harley F250 thats blue with the black flames on bottom. It only has 69k miles and its all stock. I'm not much over an hour from you 15 miles west of Evansville. It going to be sold by Tues right now I have an offer of $27,900 and its going to the best offer by Tue. That offer is firm from a dealer in Rantoul, Ill so it could be a deal to someone looking.

I'm right there with you on that one! For years I've thought about selling my '97 5.9L 12V Cummins in favor of something newer, but I'm pretty sure I'd kick myself in the azz... especially since it only has about 125k on it. The stock tranny sucked, but the engine is simple and damn near bullet proof.

I look at it this way, my 95k mile 1996 f250 has been paid for many years.
If I take the 400 or 500 per month I would pay on a new truck and stick it in the bank, I have plenty in reserve for repairs.
Not that this one has needed much.
