2011 BMW 335d
Drove my buddy's tonight. RIDICULOUS amount of torque, like you could feel your neck getting sore from the forward launch!
Car had 1200 miles on it and just got a chip that boosts the HP by 60 and the torque by 100. MPG on the dash readout said lifetime of 24.7 MPG and that was a tough 1200 miles I'm sure. Car ran from 40 to 120 like nothing, cover the odometer and you would swear you are doing 60.
He previously had a twin turbo335i/6 speed and that also was chipped/lightly modded. Honestly the diesel was just as impressive as the gas model. I like BMW's and have had 2 M3s in the past but the new stuff is simply awesome.

the 3-D sounds neat....interesting to hear, the wife also had a twin turbo335i/6 speed
sport package, very zippy car...got rid of it last august, now we have a 650 sport, nice torque-y V8.
enjoying that for now.
would not mind a M3 next or a 550 sport.... in the fall

I was really impressed with a Mercedes bluetec diesel a buddy let me drive. This BMW sounds more impressive. Diesel is way more popular in Europe, because of the performance per gallon I think.

This 335d simply pulled hard and the speedo backed up what your body was telling you!

Was a sedan I drove. I'm closet diesel fanatic. Have only diesel pickup tho. Just know that getting performance is as simple as a tune turning up the fuel and the turbo

I bought a 1986 BMW 524TD . A rare car in North America .
Almost 40 mpg and it would top 200kph .
My wife put 500K on that car . Not much off the line but what a great cruiser .
This new 335TD sounds great . Now if BMW would bring over a 5 series TD I think my wife would go for it .

That same 51K would buy you an E350 Bluetec Mercedes which is a comparable car to the 5 series. If the 3d is 51K now, the 5d is going to be 60K++.
