For a girl, the C63 would be the best. For me, it's like a go cart. All I wanted to do was take it drifting.

In the last 6 months I had a 4dr E, then a 911TT, back to an Audi A4(great car) and just sold it today and got an E coupe. Always come back to MB. Always.

Drove the CTS-V, it's an animal. But, the is no F'n way I'm giving 70ish k for a Caddy.

I thought for 2012 the C and E class are built on the same basic chassis: the difference in length is the E's body. The E550 seems to be a nice car, but it's stopping distance is not as good as the C63.

She loves the CLS, but not willing to spend the money.

No question, go w/ a V! American made, faster than anyone needs, and styling that stands out.

I don't buy the comment on resale for a second, go price a 09 V, holding value just fine. Only 3K built a year, demand is pretty good vs supply!

Oh, and you will not beat the brakes on this car in any sedan out there.

Damn! makes me wish the woman would learn to drive a standard... If she did, the C63 would be my choice for her to drive..

Going to pick up a '12 Volvo S60 on Monday, instead...

Already Looking at some Vossen's for it though...

Thanks for the input guys!

She drove an '11 CTS-V yesterday and liked it: next to the
MB dealerships where she can drive an E550. The 2012 C63 aren't here until September.

You're right, only someone selling cars knows resale, everyone else is just a sucker customer...... Anecdotally because you had better luck in your area w/ one brand does not indicate science.

Seriously, how about some data then?

Here's a quick auto trader search of 09 v's vs C63's, avg list price is $200 higher for the V so essentially the same. So unless you'd proposed the V sold for significantly more new I'd say the resale is pretty comparable. Except you're getting more for your money with the V to start with.
