My truck will be done shortly, i own a stereo shop and choose a truck with the center console/seat up front so i could tear it out and build a center console with 2 ten inch woofer in it, its ported and the woofers fire towards each other with nice led accents and plexi cut outs and so on. Btw good choice on the ecoboost you wont regret it i have 9k miles on mine and no problems so far! and funnily enough my old f150 with the 5.4 v8 got 13mpg all around my new one gets 13mpg towing my boat!!! and a respectable 19-21 hwy

Would you guys put a EB in a work truck and hand it over to an employee or would you stick w/ the 5.0? Supercab 4x4 LWB, mixed city/highway driving with materials and tools in the bed, minimal towing. 40-50,000 miles per year and run them over 200,000 miles before replacing.

I wouldnt pay a premium over the coyote 5.0 L V8 for that kind of duty cycle. Actually - Id get that truck the base V6 and save even more gas money and purchasing money. UD |

It's an EXCELLENT engine - there is one in our "camp" now. It runs really cheap for what it delivers and has excellent manners and power output. Lots of ecoboost vs 5.0 threads on the f150 forums. Uncle Dave |

That engine is actually great for "fleet" type work, plenty of power for whats needed and great mileage. |

No towing yet but went through my first tank of gas. It was nice to fill up for less than 100 bucks. I drove around majority the first tank with family in and out of town with a full truck of 5 people. Truck got just shy of 17mpg for its first tank doing this. 5mpg better than the diesel. Going the same miles I saved 45 bucks on the first tank of gas vs if I had the diesel. doing simple math and lets say 1 tank per week that a savings of 2000 dollars a year in fuel savings. I don't know folks but that 2000 more fuel I can put into the boat. And my truck should get better gas mileage in the next couple of months
