Very cool. You're doing it right by getting your own CNC and not just subbing it out.

Any thoughts on doing 1 off's, basically letting customers design their own?

I'm assuming your pricing will reflect what you're doing, higher than Vossen, HRE?

Looking forward to some pics.

Yes our pricing will be higher than those mentioned. Vossen is a 1 piece cast wheel they no longer make 3 piece. So forged is better than cast. And obviously more money. Hre makes a good production style product their 1 piece wheels are good but there are limitations to spoke profile with one piece forgings.

The comparison between their 3 piece and ours is we take a lot of extra time to lighten the center for reduced weight also we use titanium fasteners which reduce a couple pounds we finish it by welding the barrels together not just bolting and silicone who wants to trust there car on a bead of caulking.

Our wheels are designed very vehicle specific and with actual racing in mind. Another example is your tire pressure sensors weigh 2oz instead of balacing that out with wheel weight we weld a piece of aluminum inside the wheel so it is balanced with tpms. Also as some people may know most 3 piece wheels shake in the rain it's hard to describe why but we eliminated it in out design

I was obviously referring to the Vossen 3 piece, when did they drop that? I know COR was making them for them but they had some falling out and I thought they were doing CNC in house?

Sounds pretty comparable to HRE, as I believe they use titanium, on their 3 piece. Look forward to seeing some finished product pics.

Most of the sport car guys are big on 1 piece forged right now, lips are so 3 years ago haha. Will you be only doing 3 piece?

On our website you will notice our wheels have no lip it's because they are step lips with the drop center in the front when the wheels have a lip the have a reverse drop center which cause water retention in the rain and vibration issues. We do not have that with ours. HRE does not make a reverse drop center 3 piece so all of their 3 piece will have these issues. Which happen to any brand with reverse drop center and a lip.

The reason for the switch to one piece is because of wheels leaking where the silicone is. This happens because as your tires heat and cool moisture will build up and will eventually get behind the silicone and it will fail because of the moisture and centrifugal force. This is why we weld our 3 piece together and pressure test so you don't have to worry about silicone.

The downside to 1 piece is concave options you are limited if you look at most our there they have the same concave front and rear which you can obviously put more in the rear.

You've got my email and my phone number. Of course, I didn't see Benz in your list of models to display. LOL.

Love the idea. Maybe a set for the new Panamera Turbo I'm eyeing.

I listed it as mb didn't I? Most people do 22 on panamera. But I would do 21 inch so you don't have to worry about crappy roads.

Oh yeah on the vossen forged. Fromwhat I heard was that the forged line was sold to someone else who owed cor money and they ended up with the designs they are now called velocity forged made by cor. Once again don't know the facts just what I heard but I know cor has the designs under the velocity brand. The moral of that story is don't let your competition make your wheels.

Yep, you listed MB. I'm not as smart as I look. LOL.

I like my Vossens but will look around for my next ride.

You have seen my E Coupe. I can drive up one day if you want to do a photo op.

Best of luck.

Cool to see a new wheel company, I'm always looking for GOOD looking wheels. I have a few cars 911 turbo, e30,36,46 BMW m3s, BMW 650, mb wagon. I've been looking at wheels for the 911, but I haven't been able to find the right look. I have had and have three piece wheels and some do start to leak! BBS seems to be the best. The strange thing is that the bead of silicone sealer starts to leak but even after taking apart the wheel and resealing, they still leak! I have my own tire machine and balancer and have done many tires in my life. I hate run flat tires on the bigger wheels. A complete b***h to get on and off. Do you have to design the wheels for use of the stock tpm or do you use aftermarket tpms? If you need a photo vehicle just pm me. The tire rack has done a photo shoot with my cars before.

I need a Porsche for shoot and maybe the m3 ok maybe the 650 also. For most tpms we use the stock there is always that exception though. We put in a 2oz piece of aluminum to offset weight it is welded inside. That way lees weight is required on the outside.
