Very true. The new Ford's sit/ride so high and quiet that you get the feeling you are just poking around only to find out you are going 60+.

when it came time to finally bite the bullet and park my 99 f350 powerstroke dually, I looked at the big three and eliminated the ford first simply because of their last two diesels versions. I didnt want to roll the dice on the Ford after all of the horror stories.
I looked twice at the Dodge, but was swayed by the 397 hp Duramax/Allison. I also like the way it looks compared to the new super duty. Ive got 18k on my 2011 Siverado 3500 HD with no issues. Ive got no regrets, and also my wife loves it, and that matters

I also just bought a new truck. I looked at Chevy, didn't like the cabin small and cheap material used. I liked the Ford , quite motor nice torque. I went with a Dodge Laramie 2500 mega cab, nice large cabin good ride and also quality material used. Good luck choosing, best thing drive all three see what suits your needs.

I have to say I was a true Ford guy but after my last Ford F 350 08 diesel was a pos and my 02 was a rust bucket I switched to 2011 3500 Chevy hd dwd and I love it. Pulls my Nor-Tech like a dream. The trailer wiring harness on the 08 Ford was also junk.

The new 6.7L Ford engine has a pressed graphite block that can handle thermal shock of 200°F to -16°F INSTANTLY and not crack. Impressive. This was done to withstand B20 regen heat loads that the engine can produce for junky diluted fuels.
The GM Dmax is solid, I have almost 80K miles on mine with pure delight and no problems at all, and the Allison is very nice too. I love the new style seats. They are comfortable where the old style hurt me after 5 hours in the saddle. The Dmax is supposed to go graphite in the future as most all production will eventually; that is the new cast technology.
