When was the last model year ford out 7.3's in f250's?

Early 2003. Some got 7.3's and some got 6.0's

The 6.0L was kind of a 2003.5 model year release.

As long as they have the big mirrors:
6.0L have the lighted mirrors.
7.3L are solid plastic w/o lights.
(unless upgraded by an owner)

6.0L have a billet looking door badge.
7.3L have a plastic embossed letters door badge.

One of those two will give most of the trucks away from a distance or when shopping online before digging deeper.

My buddy has a 03 (gas) but said when he ordered his he had a choice, 7.3 or 6.0?

Anyone else heard of that?
