Probably why they are popular in Florida I guess, they don't have steep ramps. the steepest ramp is an overpass I think!

Wrong on the shallow ramps...don't forget we have a 2~3' tidal drop in many spots and bunks are the way to go. We control the drift with guide poles. Mine are cut to about 12" above the rub rail. Even on the steepest ramps I still see about 2' of guide pole while sinking the trailer....I also have LED brake and turn signals on my poles. I just center the boat between the poles...pull the bow up to the Y Block on the winch stand...pull up the ramp and I'm done.

I guess 75% of the trailers we see here are bunk style. I had a roller trailer out of Michigan and it was a hand full at the ramps...talk about tough to center. It was painted steel and was like an Alka Seltzer in a glass of water down here....I could watch it corroding in my driveway. Very heavy also.
