EZ-Lube or Bearing Buddy?

I'm having some custom axles built for my trailer.

Does anyone have a preference?

I've looked at both systems (I've ran BB on my current set-up for a few years).

Are the EZ-Lubes any better?

Thanks!

ez lube is way better..
the ones you want are the the ones that have a hole drilled all the wat to the inside bearing on the spindle its self, youy pull a rubber cap off the end of the steel cap and when you grease the bearings the new grease will push out the old grease..you wipe off the old grease and keep pumping in new grease until you see the new grease..makes it easier to pump out conpaminated grease with out removinf the hub assembly.

if you ever see a boat being towed and you see that his wheels are all greasy that guy has buddy bearings..

seems like alot of new boat trailers are going with the Vault set up. We just did one for a warranty issue that leak some grease out but no water intrusion inside plus everything still looked perfect.

They have a 10 year warranty. All parts, their special grease was shipped very fast to us plus no charge to the customer. His set up was five years old.

I have had good luck with the oil bath hubs. Plus easier to maintain. Some people like them and some do not.

One of my boats with oil bath hubs has been trailered coast to coast and some without an oil change with no problems as of yet. I do need to change the oil in them its on 4 years now and never has been done.

But now I jinxed that with this post I surely will start seeing problems.

Never heard of the Vault.

Just looked it up. Very interesting.

I'm currently leaning towards the EZ-Lube.

Thanks for all the responses.

EZ-lube is a lot better.

Definitely EZ Lube for the reasons described earlier. The oil bath has some merit but the EZ Lube is pretty foolproof.
